A 3D Card revealed!

A very special gift & card all in one... unique and made with lots of love!

A Box Explosion:

Remove the lid and the sides collapse to reveal your personal message and gift.

I added lots of details with beads and sequins and ribbons, and cut out butterfly wings, to give it a great 3D effect.

You can also fill the box with a special gift or treat. I added home-made fudge to my gift, but a nice cupcake would be great too.

Imagine this box with a mini wedding cake/cupcake inside and the box made with photos of the couple on the panels... that would make a lovely anniversary gift too!

The possibilities are endless! And each box would be unique and so personal.

Just a note to say...

In today's age-of-technology, hand-written letters and cards are not the first things people think of to send a message or wish someone happy birthday! However I think a hand-written note is a gift in itself!

"Lassie Love" Stationery Set Gift
I made this unique stationery set as a gift. Includes paper, notelets and gift-tags.
I absolutely love the colours. I think receiving a note/letter on this stationery would definitely bring a smile to your face.
Currently working on recreating it to sell... (watch this space)

I have been spending more time creating beautiful "gift" cards.
Cards that let the recipient know, "this was made with love especially for you!"

Like this birthday card:

And this Baby-Girl Congrats Card,
with a little crocheted baby-buggy.

Write a letter, or tuck a little note into a lunch-box, send a card. It only takes a moment to let someone know how much you care! And it could possibly be treasured forever!

Don't forget you are loved and important!
Blessings!

Honey-bee in a bonnet...

I adore babies in old photos, wearing beautiful bonnets and lovely lacy layettes.

Tutu Cute!

Some little girls are going to look Oh So! cute wearing these tutus:

This rainbow Half-Tutu is ideal for newborn photos, so the baby doesn't have to lie on the fabric, and it can be gently tied around a sleeping baby for those first photo-shoots!
Rainbow, Half-Tutu
And this lovely tutu was made for a first birthday!
But I can also make it smaller for little ones or in the half-tutu style for newborns.
Pastel tutu with large bow & flower detail
Whatever the colour or size... I'll gladly make it... because a little girl just has to have a tutu!

Beautiful Inspiration

Absolutely beautiful table-cloths/runners!
So glad I found a pattern, I really want to give this a try!

Will post a photo when I've given it a try!

Baby's 1st Christmas

A baby's first Christmas is always celebrated and is definitely one to remember....

So why not make their first Christmas photo into a special Christmas ornament?!

I found some lovely wooden cut-outs at a scrapbooking shop. They turned out beautifully (if I say so myself!) Just added a little glitter and ribbon... and of course photos of my darlings' first Christmases!
No mess... No fuss!

However if you can't find ready-made cut-outs, I saw a similar idea using wood slices as a rustic backing for your photos at  diy-wood-slice-photo-ornaments
These photos are decoupaged onto wood-slices, and then a hole is drilled into the top so you can add ribbon to hang on the tree.

There are many ways to create an ornament using special photos, and it's cetainly not limited to baby photos. Why not use old family photos, or make a new ornament every year with an annual family photograph.

Another lovely, yet simple idea is to slip a circle-shaped photo into a glass/clear-plastic bauble:

So go on... I know you want to! Your Christmas tree is just begging for some beautiful family photos to adorn it's branches!

Tutu Fabulous!

There's nothing quite as sweet as a little girl in a tutu!
Every little girl has to be a ballerina, at least once in her lifetme.
I make little tutus for babies & little girls.
My personal favourite is the Rainbow Tutu:
Rainbow full-circle Tutu
But my latest creation is the Half-Tutu, on ribbon.
It's ideal for newborn-baby photographers, so the babies don't have to lie on the fabric:

White & Black Half Tutu

Green & Yellow Half-Tutu
